Session Description :

In the last decade numerous projects have set out to test Intelligent Transport Systems, in the form of Field Operational Tests (FOT), using the FESTA evaluation methodology. Currently projects are addressing Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) technologies and services. In the coming years, a European Common Evaluation Methodology (CEM) is going to be developed. This is the time to reflect on the lessons-learned from previous and ongoing projects in order to develop a usable and effective methodology including testing, impact assessment and operational aspects. There is a large collection of lessons-learned in the CCAM Knowledge Base, but the next step is to brainstorm on the following questions from the perspective of European and international stakeholders from industry, research and public authorities:

• how to define, formulate and harmonise them in a systematic way?

• how to use them in new projects on innovative technologies?

• how to inform the new CEM?

Structure of the session:

• Presentation of a selection of lessons-learned on methodology from the Knowledge Base

• Short presentations from stakeholders on how they collect and use lessons-learned, including for technical evaluation and operation

• Panel discussion on how lessons-learned can inform the CEM development

• Audience votes on favourite lessons-learned and format
