Session description:
This session will explore the MaaS business models for all actors. Under which criteria and regulatory framework will MaaS be viable? How does lack of trust make it difficult to share data in a competitive environment where many fleet operators (i.e., taxis) fight for the same customer? Will roaming between MaaS-platforms be a part of the solution?
If correctly implemented, integrated MaaS-operations will mitigate emissions, reduce congestion, and enhance mobility services for the traveller. However, it is hard to make MaaS-operations viable for all actors at the same time.
MaaS is dependent on the safe sharing of mobility data for the private transport providers in exchange for extra trips and increased revenue. Sharing data requires trust and a trusted partner to safeguard data integrity and a fair distribution of trips. For many MaaS-operations, it hasn't proven easy to create a trusted environment to facilitate this.
